General Information
Ipas is a nonprofit organization that works around the world to increase women's ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights, and to reduce abortion-related deaths and injuries. We believe that women everywhere must have the opportunity to determine their futures, care for their families and manage their fertility. Ipas believes that no woman should have to risk her life or health because she lacks safe reproductive health choices. Ipas seeks to expand the availability, quality and sustainability of abortion and related reproductive health services, as well as to improve the enabling environment

Main Activities

• Promote a woman-centered comprehensive abortion care approach
• Advocatr for local, national and international policies that support each woman's ability to make safe reproductive choices
• Support efforts of local partners to improve or implement laws governing women's access to safe abortion care
• Address neglected women's rights issues and the rights of marginalized populations, such as women who are subject to sexual violence, women living in fragile States and women living with HIV/AIDS
• Develop and disseminate information on sexual and reproductive rights to mobilize policymakers, health-care providers, advocates, NGOs and communities
• Educate healthcare providers about the importance of providing safe abortion services as a matter of public health and human rights
• Training and service delivery improvement

• Striving to include young people and their perspectives in the development and implementation of projects and policies that address their health-care needs and their role as health and rights advocates
